The Revenant: Uncover the Madness – Documentary

The Revenant is one of this years most remarkable films released. From stories of its star Leonardo DiCaprio almost dying…TWICE to the entire film being shoot with only natural light it’s a cinematic achievement that all filmmakers should study.

Academy Award® winner Alejandro G. Iñárritu, who directed and co-wrote the film goes in depth on what it took to bring his vision to life. The result is a cinematic experience that is unique to our time.

Rev·e·nant noun:  a person who has returned, especially supposedly from the dead.

So many times people thought that this film would not finish or kill someone. The Revenant has been compared to Francis Ford Coppola’s masterpiece, Apocalypse Now because of its extremely tough and crazy production.

Below is a enthralling 44 minute documentary entitled “The World Unseen” which dives deep into the making of The Revenant. It shows the madness that was the production of this film.

Inspired by true events, THE REVENANT is an immersive and visceral cinematic experience capturing one man’s epic adventure of survival and the extraordinary power of the human spirit.

In an expedition of the uncharted American wilderness, legendary explorer Hugh Glass (Leonardo DiCaprio) is brutally attacked by a bear and left for dead by members of his own hunting team. In a quest to survive, Glass endures unimaginable grief as well as the betrayal of his confidant John Fitzgerald (Tom Hardy).

Guided by sheer will and the love of his family, Glass must navigate a vicious winter in a relentless pursuit to live and find redemption. THE REVENANT is directed and co-written by renowned filmmaker, Academy Award® winner Alejandro G. Iñárritu (Birdman, Babel).

Director: Alejandro G. Iñárritu
Screenplay: Mark L. Smith & Alejandro G. Iñárritu, based in part on the novel by Michael Punke
Producers: Arnon Milchan, Steve Golin, Alejandro G. Iñárritu, Mary Parent, James W. Skotchdopole, Keith Redmon
