So I’m conducting an experiment. Can the IFH Tribe and I get some of the most amazing filmmakers in history on the IFH Podcast? Well, let’s see if we can make that dream come true. There is a list of filmmakers and screenwriters I would love to have as guests on the show. This list is pretty ambitious but hell if you are going to dream DREAM BIG.

If anyone out in the Indie Film Hustle Tribe knows or has a way to contact any of these amazing filmmakers please email me at [email protected]

I know this might be a pipe dream but wouldn’t it be astonishing if one or more of these filmmakers actually came on the show to share their filmmaking and/or screenwriting knowledge? I want to prove to everyone listening that if you want your dream to come true then you need to put it out into the universe and have the courage to do so.

Like I said, this is just an experiment but man wouldn’t be cool? Here’s my humble list.

Today, there's not going to be any advertising, there's not going to be any anything, no fluff, I'm going to get straight to it, guys, I am going to do an experiment with the universe. And with the indie film hustle tribe, I have a dream, I have a dream guest list of people that I want to be on my show. And I am going to put this list of these dream guests out into the universe into the ether. And what I'm doing is this, I have a list of filmmakers that I would love to get on the show. These guys are legends, these gals are just the top of their game. And I'm going to put it out there to you the tribe because there are a handful of you are listening out there. And somebody out there in the tribe might have a connection to one of these guests. And it is my goal to get some if not all of these filmmakers on the indie film, hustle podcast, because I want to be able to sit down with them and ask them questions. I want to get into it with them, and bring that information back to you, the tribe. So I'm going to need your help to get these legendary people on the show. This might be a foolish thing. I don't know. But you know what? You never know. Until you try. And man, wouldn't it be awesome if just one of these people I'm about to mention, come on the show because of this episode? Wouldn't that be insane. And I really hope I can prove to everyone listening, that dreams do come true. You have to believe in those dreams to come true. And you have to act on those dreams to make them come true. So in no particular order, except for the very first one because I have to have him on the show. But I'm gonna go through my directors first. Then my I went to a handful of screenwriters and a handful of producers, but the directors list is not super long. But you know, a few people. And this is not the ultimate list of everybody who's amazing in this business. This is just a list of filmmakers that I want to talk to. for you guys. I will personally I want to talk to them. I want to ask them the questions I've always wanted to ask them and I want to bring it to you guys the tribe. So let's get started. The very top of the list and I think nobody will be surprised by this is Robert Rodriguez. I am a huge fan of Roberts. And the way he makes movies has been an inspiration to me. I wrote about him in my book, shooting for the mob, as well as just been following him since the very beginning. So Robert Rodriguez is on the top of the list. Now the rest of the people are no specific order. Quentin Tarantino, Steven Spielberg, James Cameron, Martin Scorsese, David Fincher, Christopher Nolan, Kevin Smith, PT Anderson, the legendary Francis Ford Coppola, Steven Soderbergh, George Lucas, Guillermo del Toro, JJ Abrams, Ron Howard, Spike Lee, David Lynch, Richard Linklater, Mark and Jay duplass, Lena Dunham, Tim Burton, and Mel Brooks. Now I know what you're saying, Alex, you're not ambitious enough. Like I said, if I can get one of these amazing filmmakers on the show, I would be ecstatic and I really truly truly want to bring them on the show. Just Just ask them these questions and, and really dig into into their careers and into what they do and their philosophies about how they make films. It would be remarkable. Now as far as screenwriters are concerned, I would love to talk to Aaron Sorkin, Joss Wheaton, Shane Black and as a just because I saw adaptation so many times. Robert McKee love to have Robert McKee on the show to talk about a story. Now as far as producers are concerned, I would love to talk to the legendary Robert Evans. Jerry Bruckheimer Gale Anne Hurd, Kathleen Kennedy. Frank Marshall and Brian Grazer. Now I know, again, very, very non ambitious list. But you know what I'm gonna go for. I'm gonna go for the fences here and I'm gonna see what we can get. If anyone in the tribe listening, has connections has access can make a phone call, and to pitch the indie film, hustle podcast, have them on the show, it would be a dream come true, not only for me, but for the indie film hustle tribe as well. Again, guys, this is an experiment, it is an experiment to see what will happen. Maybe nothing, maybe something maybe one of these amazing filmmakers will jump on the show. Maybe more than a few filmmakers will jump on the show, when that be insane. But you never know until you try. And that is the that is the moral of this episode is you've got to go for it. You've got to try. You've got to as crazy as it is for me to say I'm gonna sit down with Steven Spielberg or Robert Rodriguez or Quentin Tarantino and talk to him or her for you know, 20 minutes to an hour about filmmaking. That's pretty insane. That's an insane thing. But why not? Why not? They were all young filmmakers just starting out at one point. And maybe just maybe they want to give a little bit back to the rest of us. We're still struggling out here trying to get our stories told, and maybe some of their magic will shine on us. Who knows. So if you guys do have any connections, or you can connect me to any of these people, please just email me at [email protected]. That's [email protected]. I will put the list of the filmmakers on the show notes at indiefilmhustle.com/326, and the email will be there as well. So please, if you know someone if you're an assistant to one of these amazing filmmakers, if you're an agent's assistant, if you're an agent of one of these people, if you know someone who knows someone for them, this this podcast, pitch them on the indie film hustle podcast, pitch them on what we're doing for the filmmaking community. And I think this would be just ridiculously epic. If any of these filmmakers jumped on the show, it would be great. For a second, I want everyone to think for a second just sit there while you're listening to me and go, Wow, that would be kind of cool, wouldn't it? It costs nothing to dream, guys. It costs nothing to dream. And please share this episode on social media, on Facebook, on Twitter, on Instagram, wherever you can share it, please share it, email it to as many people as you can. We want to get the word out on this and see if we can make a miracle happen. So thank you for humoring me on this really kind of crazy episode. But it's really quick. And I know I never released two episodes in one day even I'm not that crazy. But today I just had an inspiration. I was like, You know what? I want to do this and let's see what happens. So thank you again for listening, guys. As always, keep that hustle going. Keep that dream alive. As crazy as it might be. keep it alive. And I'll talk to you soon.
